Distinction
+ Impression = Memorable
The advantage of strong identity is not merely aesthetic. The media-saturated
culture that we live in today can lead us to solely base impressions
on appearance and presentation.
The word brand is sometimes
mistakenly used where the word trademark would be better suited. Graphic
identity and physical appearance make up a product's trademark, which
is a part of a brand, but certainly does not encompass a whole.
A brand can be best defined as a set of differentiating promises that
link a product or service to its client. Brands exist in the minds
of clients and are dependent on their perceptions. A strong brand
can evoke an identity of consistent quality and superior value, and
in turn, can create a loyalty between client and product/service.
I approach my branding projects with distinction and impression in
mind. Subtlety and simplicity fall into place as a result, delivering
the client firm representation and reputation in a single image.
