The
fine print
I
remember the time when web development and interactive media was
beginning to peak in the design world and whole heartily thought
"well, looks like print is going to be dead." I guess
the same could be said for radio when television was introduced
back in the late 1940's. Wrong on both accounts.
Though my exposure to working in print has declined in recent years,
I still find that client's want "tangible" marketing materials
rather than a "cyber" tool, so to speak.
My design approach begins with the preliminary design(s) based on
client specs/expectations, budget and marketing goals. For many
of my designs, I conceptualize, illustrate, write, produce and prep
for print. For years I have worked with numerous vendors in print
and specialty services that have helped turn my designs into finished
products.
The following samples are projects that I feel help represent my
years working in print and have helped evolved how I approach working
in other mediums today.
